Accrington Veterans Drop-in
The Accrington Veterans Services was opened at the end of June 2019 during Armed Forces Week. VIC volunteers started on the refurbishment early in June and within a short period it was ready to open. the walls were ideal to exhibit the paintings from the VIC Centre in Haslingden, art materials will be sold at discounted prices and the Lest We Forget merchandising to be on sale.
The VIC Railway Club meet every Friday 10am - 2pm
In the room where we used to have the art group before COVID lockdown has been changed to a meeting area where tea and coffee is provided. The front of the unit is now used to sell our products

Veterans In Communities (VIC) works across East Lancashire to support those who have served in any of the branches of the Armed Forces, Emergency Services and their families.
We offer a range of activities which are run by veterans or retired members of the emergency services. The range of activities include;
Our Peer Support activities and projects are being delivered by veterans for veterans. Our community projects, outdoor activities and outreach services have been designed and developed by VIC members who understand the needs of veterans. Although many of our members have served in the Armed Forces or Emergency Services or have an association with the Armed Forces through family, VIC is not exclusive to veterans, and many of our Peer Support activities include those who haven't served. Our members are an integral element of VIC.

- Walking and outdoor activities.
- Horticulture and allotment.
- Social Inclusion trips.
- Helping the local community with small projects.
- Training opportunities,
- Veterans Outreach and Information Services.
- Veterans In Production.
