Veterans in communities Pendle
Veterans In Communities (VIC) works across East Lancashire to support those who have served in any of the branches of the Armed Forces, Emergency Services and their families.
We offer a range of activities in the Pendle area which are run by veterans or retired members of the emergency services. The range of activities include;
Our Peer Support activities and projects are being delivered by veterans for veterans. Our community projects, outdoor activities and outreach services have been designed and developed by VIC members who understand the needs of veterans. Although many of our members have served in the Armed Forces or Emergency Services or have an association with the Armed Forces through family, VIC is not exclusive to veterans, and many of our Peer Support activities include those who haven't served.
The outreach provides free Information, advice and guidance on a number of issues;
· Welfare
· Health
· Education & Training
· Housing
· Benefits
· Social inclusion activities
This service is run by VIC and members of the Armed Forces Support Group, and is part of the Pendle Armed Forces Group.

Pendle armed forces Group
The Pendle Armed Forces Group was formed in 2013 as part of the Armed Forces Community Covenants. The group has representatives from East Lancashire CCG, Pendle Borough Council, VIC, Armed Forces Support Group, Royal British Legion, SSAFA, Together Housing, Lancashire Adult Learning, Lancashire Care Foundation Trust, Burnley FC in the Community, MOD at Fulwood Barracks, Lancashire Armed Covenant Hub, Burnley Pendle Rossendale CVS, DWP, and Pendle Leisure Trust.

Our mobile outreach is shared with the Armed Forces Support Group. This is a shared outreach under the Pendle Armed Forces Group
