VIC FC
This is one of newest projects and is managed by one of our Volunteer Members Alan Taylor. The VIC 5 a-side football team played its first match on the 12th February, they play in the Blackburn Social Inclusion Football League
The Social Inclusion Football League is for local adults who are socially isolated due to their experiences with mental health, homelessness, substance misuse or learning difficulties. 28 teams, each representing organisations supporting people with a variety of needs will compete across 4 divisions, with fixtures taking place at Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre. Competitive football and the support of health and social care providers will improve the mental and social health and wellbeing of participants.
